Hello beautiful,
There is a stirring in the feminine — a rumble you may have noticed as discontent within yourself, in others, or even in something as mundane as how your cereal is packaged. I jest a little on the latter, but the question remains —
how often is discontent visiting you?
I bring this up today because it’s been a recurring theme in the conversations happening in the Goddess room. Depending on where someone is on their Growth Path, this discontent can be welcomed, as it signals that change is coming — by their own hand. Or it can surface as irritation, the kind you feel when you’re told to do something you don’t want to do, although you think you should, simply because the person telling you seems authoritative.
You Are Your Own Authority.
What you are learning is how to become more aware of what you need and how you presence yourself in the world. This is about sustainability, regardless of circumstances, people, or — and this is important — how you are feeling in the moment.
In the Goddess work, we call this finding your rhythm. The etymology of “rhythm” points to flow, movement, order, and soul. Discontent or irritation often arises when you move against the flow — against your natural way of being.
You may not have words for what you are feeling — just an underlying annoyance in some form. Bringing awareness to this is key.
Are You Bracing?
Here’s what else can occur: you are bracing against impact. The Body goes into tension by thought alone. You don’t necessarily know what this is right now, but it’s there.
I invite you to ask yourself: Where do you feel uncomfortable or tight in your body?
Bracing is a common state for women, especially those who are sensitive in nature. When you brace, you stop the flow and self-expression. You are more likely to retract, say less, seem confused — and if you’re unaware that you are bracing, this state can become locked in as 'normal.'
It is anything but normal, my loves. It is an altered state of being.
How One Woman Transformed Discontent into Flow
One of our Goddess women is currently in launch mode. This is her second launch, so she knows the process well. Yet this time, tension was present — along with a deeper feeling of discontent. And there was no joy.
Her AWARENESS gave her clues:
Tension (in the body)
Discontent (feelings)
A lack of joy (diminished creativity and spirit)
We know that frequency is everything.
It’s not what you say; it’s the energy behind the words that attracts (or repels). Our Goddess member, whom I’ll call Jane (not her real name), had to return to her why — why she was doing this and what mattered most. Can you feel the release of tension just reading these words?
What Changed?
In returning to her heartfelt why, Jane reclaimed her authority. The next step was standing strong in it — even when others didn’t agree with her choices, or even if they did.
Jane wasn’t looking for their approval — she was the approval with herself.
What happened next is truly worthy of high praise. Jane designed a launch that reflects beauty, softness, and joy. Her entire vision shifted from the masculine focus of "selling" to something far more inviting — a celebration, as if she were hosting a party — a welcoming, elegant, connecting experience.
Now, her launch has becomes the structure (masculine) to invite people into warmth, beauty, and light-hearted connection (feminine). Jane is back in alignment with her creativity, her voice, and her rhythm.
One Simple Tool: The Body Check-In
This week, I invite you to practice a gentle Body Check-In — a mindful exercise to notice where tension or discontent might be hiding.
Here’s how to do it:
Pause for a Moment: Find a quiet space, or simply pause where you are. Invite in - three slow, breaths.
Scan Your Body with your inner eyes: Gently bring your attention to your body — head to toe. Notice where you feel tightness, tension, or discomfort.
Name What You Feel using your voice: Without needing to change anything, quietly name what you notice. Is it tightness in your chest? Clenching in your jaw? A heaviness in your shoulders?
I Wonder What Am I Bracing Against Right Now? Note: "I Wonder" is a feminine mindset — one that is open, curious, and compassionate toward yourself.
Breathe Into It:
Place a hand over the area of your body where you feel tension. If your hands can't reach the place on your body, imagine your hand(s) there. This gives a focus (and energy goes where you have your attention). Take three slow, conscious breaths. As you breathe, imagine French doors opening around the tightness, allowing all the tension to flow out and release.
Let it all go, my loves.
Take three more slow, conscious breaths, feeling into the space that is now open. You may even like to shake out your arms or move your whole body for a moment. Look inwards, hands on heart. What can you feel now?
This is not about “fixing” anything; it’s about bringing awareness and softness to the places where tension holds you back.
The more you notice it, the more you can flow with your natural rhythm — and the answers will come. You are your authority beautiful.
I invite you to try this at least once this week and see what shifts. I'd love to hear from you by email or message me on social.
Have a wonder-filled week everyone,
Anna xo
